Thermocol Recycling

Thermocol is another such packing material which is thrown away. It is synthetic polymer and does not decompose.

Thermocol is generally used as a protective material to prevent fragile goods from being damaged in shipment. As also mentioned in the section of cardboard boxes, used of packaging material has increased due to online shopping. Although it was still used for packing before but now the quantity that is being generated is more than we can handle.

Due to this most of the time as the procedure to be followed or a material recovery facility is not available at the place, thermocol ends up in landfills. Expanded polystyrene or also known as thermocol is a complex aromatic hydrocarbon which is not degradable by it's nature.
